ICON Foundation conducted a district-level workshop titled “Empowering Every Learner”, focusedon Special Education and Learning Support. The workshop brought together school teachers, specialeducators, and pediatricians to address the needs of children with learning disabilities, ADHD, andslow cognitive development. Dr. Varnit Shanker explained the neurological basis of learningdifficulties and highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and individualized educationalplanning. He demonstrated practical tools for classroom modification, the use of IndividualizedEducation Plans (IEPs), and strategies to improve attention, working memory, and learningoutcomes.

Interactive discussions allowed teachers to share their classroom challenges and receive expertguidance on managing behavioral and academic concerns. Teaching modules, visual aids, and IEPtemplates were provided to 58 participants. The workshop strengthened coordination between thehealth and education sectors, promoting multidisciplinary support and early intervention forchildren with special learning needs.
